How to blog with a fuzzy internet connection

I don't know how many times I've been inspired to update one of my blogs and have the wind taken out of my sails by fuzzy internet. I define fuzzy internet as internet that might be working, but I may have to reload pages more than once. Internet that works, but isn't reliable or even usable. If you rely on logging in to your website for ever little update, the fuzzy internet in Bush Alaska can be a real bummer. MarsEdit is a lightweight application that really helps you update your blog when your internet is down (which happens a lot for me). Since it is an actual application running on your computer it doesn't rely on an internet connection. I can click it open and start writing immediately; there's no waiting for pages to slowly load or frustration when the network croaks. Alaska Principals' Conference 2015

SESSION TITLE: Implementing an RTI Schedule at the Middle School Level using Social Media, Board Presentations, Apps, and More Passionate principals work hard to change the status quo in our schools.  Our presentation will help principals see how to make change in a difficult environment with many obstacles present.  Principals will learn strategies for preparing the school community for change in a positive way so that when the change comes, they will be ready to get on board.  Principals will also learn about the Pickr app, which allows students to pick their own tutorials and make ad-hoc groups in a quick and efficient manner. My Breakdown of the Big Three

Facebook and Twitter have dominated social networking for a few years now.  (Yes, there is LinkedIn and others, but who really uses them?  How many people do you know who've logged in this week?)  In contrast to everything else, Facebook and Twitter are used far more.  As a testament to Facebook, just think about who you have as a friends.  My friends range from former students, to high school buddies, to family, and business associates.  Both my dad and my niece are my friends on Facebook and I watch them use Facebook like crazy.  They run in totally different circles, communicate with totally different types of users, use Facebook in different ways, but we all are able to maintain a unified connection with each other.
